Plant breeding works for farmers success

Our strategic goal is to create breeding progress in the form of increasingly sophisticated, high yielding varieties and to provide to agriculture the highest quality seed material.

Tradition is the basis and innovation is our future

In 1881, in Petkus, just 40km from Berlin, Ferdinand von Lochow began breeding rye, by purposeful selection of elite plants. This is how the company Lochow-Petkus GmbH came into being, which is currently called KWS LOCHOW GmbH. The combination of the strength of KWS and LOCHOW carries breeding progress from yesterday, through today and tomorrow.

In Poland

In Poland the company launched its operations in 1995 from the foundation of its subsidiary called Lochow-Petkus Polska Sp. z o.o. In 1999 the Group LPP acquired 85% of shares in the company KonRolPasz.
